I.How to choose CCT(Color Temperature):

CCT describes the color of light produced by a white light source, and uses the Kelvin temperature measurement scale to describe the relative color appearance or warmth/coolness of white light. The lower the color temperature is, the warmer the light given by the LED. Our led strip light are available in color temperatures from 2700K to 6500K. If you need a specific CCT with a specific lumen output, we will customize a solution for you.

II. Comparison of waterproof level(IP Ratings):

Due to the different decoration place, we offer you waterproof IP rating below:

Ingress Protection (IP) ratings indicate the protection that an electrical product (such as our waterproof LED lights) offers against dust and moisture. The higher the IP value, the better protection your waterproof LED strips offer.

IP20: Non-waterproof, 3M adhesive tape at back, with no guaranteed dust/water protection, easy to install, please don't touch water. it’s ideal for internal use only. 

IP54: Nano-proof, nano coating waterproof technology. No color changing and very good heat dissipation. Applicable to damp environment.

IP65: Coated with silicon glue, 3M adhesive tape at back, they offer general protection and are easy to wipe and clean. they’re ideal for installation under kitchen cabinets and in bathrooms.

IP67: Silicone tube, rain-proof, can be installed externally and are protected against regular water contact, but don't into water. 

IP68: Silicone tube with glue in, fully waterproof, can be put into water.

III.What is Color Rendering Index(CRI)?

CRI is a figure which feedback the real objects colors.For LED strips, the CRI is mostly 70-75Ra, and 80Ra with higher cost. But some few can reach 94

IV.How to cut,solder and connect LED strip?

Cutting the LED Strip:

All of our white LED strips have cut points clearly marked on them. Simply use a pair of household scissors to cut to the length you require, along the lines indicated by small scissor symbols. Be sure to have the LED strip disconnected before you cut it.

Cut points are spaced at different intervals, depending on the product you choose(4 pads for single-colour LED tape, or 8 pads for RGB)You don’t have to do anything else; cutting at the cut-points will close the LED tape circuit automatically.

If you are using waterproof LED strips, please be aware that cutting them will damage the strip’s heatshrink protection. You will need to reseal the end of the tape with a glue-gun after cutting. Or why not ask us to pre-cut your waterproof LED strips to the length you need when you order and we’ll handle all the heatshrinking and glued ends for you!

Soldering the LED Strip:

The solder pads at each cut-point are also used to connect lengths of LED tape together. On single-colour LED strips, each pad is labelled positive (‘+’) or negative (-‘); on RGB, pads are labelled positive (‘+’), red (‘R’), green (‘G’) or blue (‘B’).

If you want to add a starter lead, simply solder your cable to these pads. This can be of any length you require, and can then be wired back to a transformer or a controller.

To solder two pieces of LED tape together, begin by trimming the tape ends to be connected – cutting all the solder pads in half (to make semicircles). Once that’s done, you can butt the two tape-ends so the half-pads form full circles again then solder them together.

Connecting the LED Strip:

We have many different type of connectors to fit both single-colour and RGB LED tapes. start by cutting your LED strip at the appropriate cut-point, then simply open the connector and slot the tape-ends into place. Finally, snap the connector shut again.

Our conventional packing for led strip light is anti-static bag, and then in a big carton.

Also we have blister package for strip light kit with led strip,adapter, remote control, connectors, clips in. Th whole set are well placed in the kit, which is suitable for wholesale or retail in the supermarket.
